FIS I have been a Certified Personal Trainer for over 13 years. I am truly blessed to live in Maui and fortunate to be doing something I enjoy.
Working out has always been a part of my life. It started out with races in the street and soccer in the backyard. I first started lifting weights in the garage at about 13 years old. In high school I ran track and cross country. My training continued in the Marine Corps, in fact I "started" personal training in the Marine Corps when I was put in charge of a program that assisted Marines who could not maintain the minimum standards on the Physical Fitness Test.
I competed in bodybuilding for the first time in 2002. I was hooked, and have been competing ever since.
At every gym I trained, members would ask me questions and mentioned that they had more confidence in me than the paid trainers at the gym. “You should be a trainer” is something I heard for years before I considered doing it in earnest.
In 2005, I completed my formal training and began working as a Personal Trainer. Training is challenging, it is rewarding. My own training for Personal Training continues. I am always in search of better concepts, new exercises, more efficient ways to doing things. It will always be a work in progress.
Good luck in your training. You can do it. I'll be glad to help you in any way I can.
